Good oil cleanse but not great for removing eye makeup

Purchased the Marula Pre-Cleanser as a first cleanse to be able to remove sunscreen and makeup. Although the product description says to use light circular motion around the eye area, it seems unclear if one can remove eye makeup on the eyes with this. I have sensitive eyes and when I put water on my face after I have applied this cleanser and remove it all with a damp cloth, my eyes get irritated. So it does remove makeup but better not use it on your eyes. The scent is similar to the Marula hydrating serum (faint lime) but the scent of the cleanser leans more towards lemongrass, which is not my favorite. The texture is good, nice slip. Overall it is a good oil cleanser but I really needed it to remove mascara.
